Timco Magic's Story

My journey into magic began at age ten with a forgotten magic set under my aunt and uncle’s pool table — and I’ve been hooked ever since. By sixteen, I
was working at The Magic Den, where I
spent nine years learning from my mentor, Larry Nye, who encouraged me as an up-and-coming magician.

After years of work for my father's alarm business, I returned to magic full-time in
2013, performing as Professor Sal Kraut and launching Timco Magic Creations.
What started as a dream to perform and run a shop evolved into a passion for
not only preforming magic but designing and crafting magic, initially it was for my own personal use.

In 2017, I had the privilege of working with Bill Groome, then owner of Madhatter Magic Shop.
Bill gave me the opportunity to build magic for his company — a turning point
that transformed my path as a creator. My first pieces, The Smoke Machine and The Chop Cup Tea Cup, quickly
gained attention and marked the beginning of my journey into magic
manufacturing.

Since then, I’ve designed and produced over 100 original Timco Magic pieces, some have since been retired but all are handmade in the USA. Every production reflects the craftsmanship, creativity, and dedication that
Bill’s encouragement helped inspire.

When Bill Groome decided to retire and sell the magic business to the
Biad Family, I was grateful they carried on with his legacy and continued to support my products. Working with them was an honor, and when they
eventually moved on, I took the leap and launched my own website with Bill and Chris’s blessing.

Since starting this journey in 2013, my biggest supporters have been my
family. Thank you to my wife, Tamara, and our children — Elijah, Ariana, and Malachi — for the laughs, late nights, and endless encouragement. A special thanks to Tamara for building this website.
